Fundraising Ideas
Everyone (or almost everyone!) knows that money doesn't grow on trees and has to come from somewhere. Grants can be fantastic as they often provide large sums of money that otherwise you just wouldn't be able to find. However, there are drawbacks. Grants often require filling in a lengthy form then if you do receive the money there is often monitoring forms to be completed and usually there are strict criteria about what you can spend the money on. If you only need small amounts of money why not try raising it yourself? You can arrange when to raise the money and what you spend it on. It can also help to engage all the members of your club and raise awareness in the local community. You could hold a one off event, make an annual event or have a fundraising month with lots of things going on. Below are a few ideas of how to do your own fundraising.
